Isaiah 26:3-4; (New International Version)
3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. 4 Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.

Standing Steadfast is not easy for me. I find my mind races and tries to resolve my problems which from the worldly perspective is what I should do. However there are times when the Father wants to grow us to trust in Him to guide our path in the direction where his plan for us and service to him may be.

The verse today is one that tells me to stand steadfast in Him. As things in my life and the world changes constantly He never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and will be the same tomorrow “unchanging”.

Just 4 days ago I took a step of Faith and I am now without a job. The decision was not one that I made hastily it was with a lot of prayer and discussing it with my wife and having her in prayer with me about it.

Now comes the hard part, standing STEADFAST on what I believe God is saying to me and that is He will open doors for me that no man can close and he will shut doors for me that no man can open. In understanding the STEADFAST Webster’s  dictionary defines it as this;

1 a :  firmly fixed in place :  immovable
  b :  not subject to change
2 firm in belief, determination, or adherence

To really trust that God has my best interest at heart and that he orders my steps and knows the path that is best for me I have to be firmly fixed and immovable. I cant waiver and pick it back up to do things on my own. Its difficult not to search out and try to find where I am to go look for work, I know people that can certainly assist me in this but I don’t just want to get a job I want to find that place where Gods will for me and the work of my hands align and bring heaven purpose for me to earth. After all we are HIS hands and feet in the world. We are all called to be disciples of men and if we don’t reach the lost and bring to them the GOOD News of Jesus where will it come from.

I want to take every opportunity to love people and serve God where better opportunities than in the work of our hands and life calling. We all have been called to be disciples and to share Christ everyday to as many as will hear. There are many that will only hear once they see how we live and our work everyday.

I challenge anyone reading this to be STEADFAST in Christ today because he is the only one that remains unchanging. HE can bring each of us HIS unchanging peace in any storm life has today.

Pray that He will give us the courage to be Steadfast.
