Suffering & Sadness

08 Nov

Suffering and Sadness is also part of life for everyone and in the believers life its no different. We struggle with circumstances and want to be out of them quickly when we begin to feel pressure or the heat but oftentimes it is God who is applying the pressure and or heat to refine us and get us ready for His next assignment

Todays verses come from 1 Peter 1:6-7;
6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that your faith–of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire–may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

I sometimes wonder if I am truly reflecting Christ glory in the places I have worked. Over the past 6 years it seems that I have struggled with my occupation and have not found the a place to belong and grow at. I know my gifting’s and believe that God can and is using them for His glory in the places I have worked but from the stand point of stability and growing in one place I keep being uprooted, I know that just like a plant growing in a pot it is necessary to transplant the plant into a larger pot so the root system can spread out and the plant can grow taller and stronger. But there is a little shock each time the plant gets pulled from the one pot and waiting to be placed into a the next pot.

I pray that if you are in the place of transition that you seek God and ask Him what the next assignment is going to be for you. Is it about going back and doing over because the learning didn’t take the first time or perhaps it is to prepare you for the his next purpose that may not be at all about you but someone he wants to reach through you. But just maybe you are now ready for Gods real purpose and He is going to promote and reward you for previous work well done.

Whatever the reason you are in transition know that God has your best interest at His heart and He will continue growing you until you breath your last breath on earth. So let each of us allow Gods glory to be revealed to us in the suffering’s we encounter…… greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that your faith–of greater worth………. may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

I want my Faith to Grow and prove to be genuine and I want Him (Christ Jesus) to receive all praise and honor in everything I say and do.

God You are the Potter

24 Aug

Can the pot say to the potter,”He knows nothing.”? Isaiah 29:16. In the hustle and bustle of life today it is easy for us to neglect God and go on about or day without considering him. When we neglect God it is no different than saying we know best. God created us and He knows the plans that He has for us and they will prosper us and put us in the places that we were designed to operate best in.

Just as a potter shapes the pot on the potter’s wheel God continuously works on us everyday. He smooths out the imperfections and design us to be His best piece. Gods vision for us goes further than we can imagine today. We look at today primarily based on our past but God created us and he see the finished piece.

The next time someone does or says something to upset or offend you, Take a moment and ask God how this enters his plan for you. If we take time to speak to God first he can make the situation work into his plan, if we react based on what we think first it is sure to be outside of Gods plan. As we do our own thing it will take God longer to create the perfect piece that he saw when we were born.

Oh God help ME today seek your vision in the circumstances I face today, not MINE!
